is220D check VSC-HELP
Hi,
I have a situation,and from what i've read is somewhat common .
Check VSC shows on display ,with ! warning sign, and "engine" warning, also esp off
I've diagnosed it and it shows p0031,from what i understand this is the o2 sensor
My question is ,where is it located ,and if it could be some other faults causing this error or the wiring ,before i send it to the dealership
I'm also looking for a service manual ,mine came in german
thanks !

I had the same problem with my is250. Went to play soccer at the park and when I was leaving I turned on the car and that popped up and I was like darn, here is a expensive repair. So I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and connected it again. I believe I left it alone for 10 minutes.
After I connected the battery again the light did not reappear once again. And this happened more or less a year ago. If the light hasn't reappeared I am guessing there is not a major thing going wrong.
I was still wondering if my car will give out any codes. So I went to this shop owned by a buddy of mine and he checked it with the OBD computer and said there were no codes shown regarding the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
I am not saying that you should do what I did because it is not the right way, but it worked for me.

The computer automatically disable stability control whenever the check engine light is lit, causing the Check VSC light and message to come up. Your code, which you erased by disconnecting the battery, was likely for something completely different, perhaps even a loose gas cap.
