19" spare...please help
Hello folks,
I just recently upgraded to 19" rims and is wondering if I would be able to use the OEM spare for my car (08' IS250) in case of a flat? If not, are there any 19" spares that would fit in the compartment that currently houses the OEM spare 18" rim?
Thank you for your help and Happy 4th of July to all!!!!

Thanks for all the input. But my main concern is if I do get a 19" spare (ISF/G35), will that fit in the spare tire compartment (underneath the trunk mat/lining) in the trunk?

Why do you need a bigger spare?
The only reason other members needed to go with the ISF spare is to clear a BBK and still fit in the trunk well. Simply having a larger diameter wheel does not mean the factory spare is going to be incapable of functioning as a temporary spare.

So my oem 18" spare will suffice as a spare in case of a flat with my 19" aftermarket wheels?

Ok this may sound ignorant or stupid but please bear with me, I come from an EVO background and for us it was bad to put a spare that is not the same diameter as the other 3 wheels because it will mess up the LSD.
If one of my 19" rear tires blow out and put in the OEM 18" spare which is of different diameter as the other rear wheel, will that mess up the differential?

This issue is not the diameter of the wheel/rims but the diameter of your tire. I have staggered 19" rims but the tire diamter of each is 25", which is close to the same as my stock 17" rims. The spare could be a 14" rim for all it matters, as long as it clears the brakes and has the same tire diameter. Your EVO would have been the same as an AWD IS, where it is bad to have non-matching tire diamters.
