Just look for a corner and park normal; you're in a 5 year old IS - assuming your "garage" is correct - not an LFA or something. DO NOT do that parking thing where you get really close to one of the lines in a spot. You will come across a-holes that will intentionally squeeze into a spot just to spite you.
