I would love to see this go down, but only at a track/drag strip. Looking forward to the video

Additionally, CL cannot condone racing anywhere but a official venue.

from 0-60 IS350 should take the lead, but after 60mph the G37 would take the lead.
it's also depends on the yr of G37 (automatic) since there is a shift gear software update on the model yr 08-10. there are many G37 owner complained that the software update would shift the gear to the 7th quicker since the software is designed to save on fuel economy.

I always turn the AC off when racing to ensure the motor is not wasting power on me.

Also, I think tires can really make a difference here. Soft tires will get better traction, but most people move away from the soft tires to get longer tread life.

Either way, I am interested in finding out how it goes. Be safe.

Remember to race on a 1/4 tank or lower! Every gal of additional fuel is another 6-6.5lbs!

I would refer "S" mode with traction control off. Hold the brake, rev up to 1200 RPM and floor it when green light is on.

DON'T DO THIS!!!

Do a search and you will find several post about using Power Mode on a drag race is a no.

Someone posted up plenty of data and even carted it out.

Normal mode will hold the gear longer when you are at peak power range of the rpm band. You will get more speed out of normal mode in a drag race.

Power mode will up shift too soon for you to utiliize any power. It's only good for stop and go race like autocross or gt track racing.

I find this to be a very surprising comment from a modulator. As a car enthusiast we are always curious to compare cars; whether they be hondas or Ferraris. All cars are respected in the eye of an enthusiast if modded in a correct fashion.

If your so close minded to attack anyone who's trying to compare performance of a car that isn't "track ready" then i suggest you get off a CAR forum. Tell me you didn't compare the performance of your IS350 to the IS250 when you bought your car; the difference in the two cars are ONLY performance.

If its dumb to look at the IS350 performance, then your dumb because you didn't buy a 250. By your logic

Mod probably has an Isf or something, but to ordanary people 300+ hp is pretty fast compared to majority of cars on The road.

Lol I think he just meant the idea of racing for $100 is dumb, at least thats the way I took it. I highly doubt that OP is getting this race set up at a track. Maybe I'm wrong but judging by the original post Most likely this will go down as a street race which he also noted CL doesn't condone street racing. Sure we have all done it, some still do but as we have grown older we realized its not stupid, and not safe.

Bernie may have approved if it was for 2 Large!
