Default IS250 replacement fender question

i'm debating on whether to replace my fender with a prepainted part or to have it repaired by an autoshop. Does anyone know if buying a replacement fender prepainted will match the rest of the body well?

Who is selling you the prepainted one? How good the match is depends on how good they are at painting it, and on what colour you have. Certain colours (GFM for example) would be way harder to match like that than others (Obsidian for example).

I would probably have a body shop do it with your car there so they can match it. There's no point having a different body shop paint a fender and ship it to you when you can have a local shop paint the fender with the car there to make sure it matches. Unless it is massively cheaper I guess, or there are no good body shops near you.

Like Jeff said I would a local body shop do it , not to mention that depending on the age of the car they might have to blend the paint on the fender.

at this point, i'm tempted to file an insurance claim on both the bumper and fender and switch it out with an F-sport one, but it's been so long since the incident that I'm not sure it's going to be covered. ugh

Will be asking around local body shops for quotes. Thanks guys!
