It might be even harder to go through Paypal now, since you've started working on the lights. I would have just left them as is until there is a resolution of some sort. Good luck

I think its fair for you to expect some compensation. Next time if you buy something make sure to tell the seller packing good and ship with insure or even offer them little more money add to the shipping cost if need. This way they will pay more attention to their shipping packaging.

I once shipped a CL member on here (RookieIS) a set of ISF tail lights.

Long story short even though I had shipped them in their OEM boxes, when they arrived one of the tailights had been damaged (box looked like UPS had played volleyball with it). Without any hesitation, I did exactly what he asked for even though it was technically UPS's fault. I refunded him the full amount of 1 taillight so that he may go to a local dealership and buy himself another one (he had a car meet coming up and didnt want to show up without them).

Point is, when you buy something if it is damaged upon arrival, the seller should ALWAYS be responsible. Unless otherwise noted, or you already knew about the damage and bought them that way. Good luck.
I was about to mention this as well.

OP: The seller should definitely stand behind his/her sale and at least file a claim to the shipping carrier. You shouldn't be the one who is fixing / repairing the headlights if they should not be in this condition the first place.

If you bought it from CL, you might do everyone here a favor and share who it is.

This was his response when I asked about the condition: "they are a lil hazzy nothing that some sanding won't fix and some tabs are broken but they was in my car perfectly"

I have the headlights and for the most part they are usable. Work just needs to be put into restoring the lights. I don't want to deal with Paypal and the whole process, I've done so before and it's a process I don't want to deal with again. I have asked him to compensate me and asked that he give me a response by this Friday.

Don - If nothing is done I'll update you guys with who it is, I don't want to put him on blast if he has the intentions of remedying the situation.

F111F444 - I gave the seller the benefit of the doubt, he's been here a while and had some positive feedback.

Hey guys, just an update. I was busy this weekend but seller made no attempt to contact me for a compromise. Please be careful if you ever do buy from this seller.

this is why I never ship anything i sell. if i have to have something shipped to me, i always buy brand new.. but I would demand some sort of compensation since youre not getting the product in the same condition as when you purchased it.

All good guys, I've talked to a mod. Thanks for everyone's input.

Kevin I don't ever mind shipping and you know I stand behind whatever I sell. I'm pretty cautious of who I buy from as well. He had a good review stating the package was wrapped perfectly.

Btw I heated up the Rays and got them sitting properly now haha.
