Your obviously going to get a biased answer here but I will never own a German car out of warranty.

I wouldnt even want to mod it so I would stick to Japanese cars, but thats just me

^This. A buddy of mine is a BMW master mechanic and he preaches that they would be really nice cars if they didn't break all the time.

Thank you for the concerns, but i am not crazy to get a used car that has turbos and not get warranty. I dunno if it will be a CPO or BMW Extended Warranty. The MAIN reason why im jumping out of this car is not because of performance, styling.... i just still enjoy driving manual. This auto-tragic got to me during the hard snow we got few weeks ago. I like to control the car, not the computer controlling it for me, especiallly the stupid traction control. Beleive me i still love my is350 very much, it is a very sexy looking car and lots of people give me compliments on the car.

both are great car and you should already know all the pros and cons of each car. If you want a 335, just do it. Just make sure you have enough money set aside in case.

E36 M3s are the sweet spot. For the most part, they don't leak as much as the E30s and are cheaper than the E46 (although non-Ms are pretty cheap now).

Maintenance is always going to be worst than a Toyota, but if you don't mind fiddling with little things here and there, it's not terrible. Interestingly enough, I replaced my E36 M3 with a NB Miata but had to fix more things on the Miata. Of course, they were simpler and easier, but more numerous.

That said, I couldn't do a newer, more expensive and (even more) complicated German car without a warranty either. Unless I had a lift, a second car, and a lot of spare time on my hands.

Nice car. I've been thinking about doing the same. Frankly, the reliability and maintenance cost of a BMW is the killer. I love that I only put oil and gas into my IS350.

everyone i know with a bmw has had it lemoned..they're junk *** cars but fun to drive.

sorry if i hurt the biased fanboys

It will fall apart and you'll regret selling the Lexus.

The IS350 interior is just as cramped.

In the back seat maybe. In the front seat I felt more comfortable in my IS250 then I did in the BMW 3's I test drove at the same time. Not sure if its the design of the seats or just if our Lexus has more room, but I could feel a difference.

My co-worker just traded in his 2012 BMW 335i x drive sedan. He bought a 2013 you guessed it IS-350-awd. He said he hated the BMW ride with the run flats, and he had some issues with the radio, and nav on the Bimmer.
He likes the 350.
