I have Continental DWS on my AWD. I feel that they are a bit better than the OEM Bridgestones. No problems at all getting around. Up in the north shore area.

Well I don't know about the north east but here in good old west Texas we are getting a pretty decent amount of snow for our area. I know it doesn't compare to the North East but here's my contribution

I heard a lot of good things about the Blizzaks (forgot who made them) But the OEM Bridgestones aren't what I expected. Nature almost took me and Sheila out, so looks like I'll be picking up some over time to get me some new tires.

Rocking the DWS on my 350 RWD.

Gotta agree with you, handle and grip is tons better than the OEMs.

Yah the OEM Bridgestones sucked in the snow. The Blizzaks are Bridgestones' Winter Tires and are awesome in the snow but they are snow tires so not something to keep on all year long.

Yeah blizzak are great snow tires. I've run mine on its third season and RWD handle great. I'm in central Ma and we get the most snow every time.

I have a 08 AWD with Dunlop All seasons on stock rims. The tires did pretty decent in the Winter Storm Rocky & the one before that in kansas. I did get a little stuck but snow mode didnt help because it kept cutting the power everytime i tried to accelerate. I ended up turning it off, Also, it didnt help that i was drifting every corner i could lol.

Snow mode doesn't really do anything to help you get traction. Turning off your traction control help from cutting power to the wheel. I drive threw the winter season with traction off.

This is the first time i've driven the car in snow so i never really knew what to expect. and even with snow mode off, if the tires lost traction, TC would limit the power sent to the wheels like snow mode would do, but a bit less.

all in all, i turned off TC, and i did some nice round circular donuts and went back to sleep

I only really use Sno Mode to get into the drive way in my parking lot. But he's right all it really does is cut power to the wheels and it's annoying. Also when I almost crashed Snow mode was on ironically enough. WOMP WOMP

Holy ***** halfnyce07 that's a lot of snow. It's snowing right now, but it's nowhere near as bad as that!

I never use snow mode, and the VSC stays on for the most part. It's impossible to get stuck when its on. There was one time when I was parking my car in a fresh snow drift at work, and while I was pulling in and out of the spot (to pack the snow), the car got stuck. I had VSC off. I turned it back on and put on about 30% throttle, and the car moved forward like nothing. Gotta love winter tires and AWD! Lol

Current snowfall:
