Default Oil Filter Case

Quick question: Do I have to change the oil filter case along with the actual oil filter? Or could I just reuse my old case? Sewell has 10 cases for $35 and the actual filter for $4 a pop. So I was thinking of just buying the filter and having my dealership change the filter for $25/labor.

and the O ring (included with the Lexus/Toyota filter). The plug gasket is a good thing to replace too...
