It doesnt seem to be the case for 09-10 split design. There is no mention of out of production and whatsoever.

And try this, 680$ in starfire pearl without a CL discount lol.
A tleast there is a good chunk that can be had back if sold.

My gfx 09 fromt fits like a glove but sewell paint is not 100% good, wouldnt call it oem lexus paint quality.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 09-10 GFX weren't discontinued? At least this is what I was told by Lexus of Orange County when I asked if they had any 06-08 GFX front. Their reply stated the 06-08 models were discontinued months back therefore they have none left in stock, although they do have for all other years.

 

when i bought my kit in 2010 there was no mention of it being not in production any longer, although there was mention that supplies were greatly limited, and some colours were sold out.

i bought the kit painted from sewell.

i don't know if sewell was painting replicas, although it seems as though they wouldn't be. as far as i know i received an original kit.

 

I heard bad things about the ebay gfk lip. I hear it comes to you folded (they save on shipping) and you are supposed to use a heat gun to straighten it out. I also heard they are wider, and show a little gap

 

PLEASE do not forget to update our community when you receive this lip. If things go well, this will start a trend because SEWELL's pricing has gone up and i too have heard that they are selling replica's anyway but people order through them because of the trust VS trusting eBay. I've had TONS of success through eBay lately, it's not what it used to be and these replica kits, lips, spoilers fit really well. Let us know!

 

That's a very sweeping generalization being as that there are multiple sources for the same basic product. That's a specific vendor gripe.

 

I definitely will post updates as soon as I receive it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

I ordered the lip and unlike the description, it didn't arrive folded like most others have received, which i guess is a good thing. I should be sending it out for paint next week so ill update again with fitment.

 

Which seller did you use?

 

racing_raven is the seller. I received it about 3 weeks after i placed the order, but i took into consideration that i ordered about a week before christmas so giving them the benefit of the doubt due to holiday delay, the shipping time wasn't terrible.

 

You should test for fitment issues or concerns before you get it painted. That way if there is a huge gap you can got to the seller and they will be more likely to exchange/refund if its not painted.

 

For all interested, I installed the lip today for a test fit and it fits like a glove. I'm extremely happy with the results. I'll post pictures shortly.
