Is250 manual or is350

I never understood why people prefer a traditional manual transmission to paddle shifters (note: I know the IS350 doesn't have paddle shifters, but the ISF does).
It's essentially equivalent to someone saying that they prefer to get up out of their chair and manually change channels on their cable box (traditional manual transmission) as opposed to using a remote control (paddle shifters).
The entire TV viewing experience (i.e. driving experience) is made slower and more clunky by opting to get up and manually change channels on your cable box, but hey some people just enjoy being "more involved" and don't care about optimizing their TV viewing experience (i.e. they don't care about the fact that traditional manuals yield slower track times compared to paddle shifting variants).
I get the argument for a 6MT IS250 vs an IS350 because the IS350 is a fully automatic transmission without paddle shifters.
But...6MT IS250 over a paddle-shifting ISF? Really? Did someone really say they prefer a traditional manual transmission so much that they'd rather drive a 6MT IS250 over an ISF?
Wow.
I mean I completely realize that there is no right answer to this. It's all about subjective preference.

It's an 8 speed with true paddle shifting capabilities.

By the way FWIW I actually think the IS250 when engaged in "sport" mode for a more sensitive throttle gives you the illusion that it has sufficient power for daily driving.
I don't really go WOT in my IS350 any more these days because usually when I get in the mood to go WOT I get into trouble (speeding tickets).
Going WOT in an IS350 is totally unnecessary (dare I say obnoxious) for daily driving purposes. I mean I did it when I first got the car. I engaged in a bunch of impromptu "red light" races, but I've gotten over that phase.
There's just no sensible reason to have to go 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds (4.9 for the IS350 according to most aggregate 3rd party estimates like Road and Track, zeroto60times, torquestats, Car and Driver, etc.) when daily driving. It's 100% unnecessary.
Funny story - I actually had an IS250 try and race me at a red light about a week ago. He went full WOT. I just eased onto the gas pedal and allowed him to "win." I wasn't really in the mood to embarrass a fellow Lexus owner.
