Sorry to see the car, but when I heard of your gf passing I'm terribly sorry for her/you. Sounds like a hit ruble accident. Airbags do not deploy when being rear ended. The car looks like it took the impact as designed. Front air bags only deploy with frontal impact. Same goes with side air bags.

I am so sorry to hear this. I had somebody hit me 5 yrs ago and have been in constant pain ever since. Life will never be the same for me. How are you feeling (back and neck) wise? The person that hit me was messing with their damn phone and never even saw me sitting at a red light. They estimated the guy that hit me was going about 60 so I know the impact that you took. I have buldged discs and have a bone spur sitting on my right nerve root. Have been going to a pain clinic every three months ever since. Get a good injury lawyer which I am sure you already have. Money doesn't take away the pain but in these situations that really is all you can do. Again, my heart goes out to you for your loss.

Dude my car got clipped (3,400 in damage) I was furious. But getting rear ended at 70MPH, someone will die. I'm sorry but I spent a year in Iraq for my baby. Heads will be rolling.......
