I just ordered some 6k Garax bulbs from one of our vendors (Mod-express) and also 3K for my fogs. HOPEFULLY i'll get today and install them by tomorrow or maybe even tonight and I'll post some pics of the stock headlight beam and the 6k headlight beam and also the final product.

Just hope they come in today cause I've been rolling with 1 headlight out for 5 days now..

About what is factory HID's? Less than 6k?

mj250: You're problem is that your ballasts have a very high start up draw and cannot properly ignite as there is a slight power drop from your OEM harness when you start your vehicle. This is why I typically suggest people get the Xtreme HID kit if their vehicle has auto lights. Xtreme ballasts have a super low starting draw and can handle the slight power drop from your OE harness when the vehicle is starting.

SNORTH350: Keep in mind that as you go higher in terms of color temperature you end up getting more color but less actual useable light output. For example, your stock HID bulbs are rated at 3200 lumens however a Philips Ultinon D4S HID bulb is rated at approximately 2600 lumens. Lumens is what actually determines how bright a bulb is. We also offer a 5000k D4S bulb for people that want to get slightly more color than their stock HID bulbs but do not want to compromise to much light output. ClubLexus members save $20/HID bulb when ordering a XenonDepot D4S HID bulb by using coupon code CLGB08 upon checkout.

Have a nice weekend.

@OP,

I just installed a HID Kit (without relay) and am having the same problem you are. The only solution I have is to start the car, then turn on the fog lights (not auto) and they'll *sometimes* both turn on. Other times one will turn on and not the other and make a loud BUZZING noise.

Here are some pics.

6k Garax bulbs with 3K hid kit from Mod-express.......

Yes one of them is green.
