anyone use the metal tabs/clip things that came with it to install?? or can we just install with double side tape

I tried to figure how those metal tabs will be placed but ended up not using at all.

Not sure either damaster32, gave it to the body shop and not sure if it was used. Good luck....

Heya...
@RegRover ; thanks for uploading the pics and for the DIY of VIP puddle lights. I've been waiting for a DIY. Anyways i did a bit of rendition to one of the pics you uploaded of the diffuser. Hope you don't mind. Here are two options and sorry i did this quick Photoshop with MS Paint. :-P

are you Plastidipping the center part black (as was proposed back on itzhieu's thread? Or getting it painted that way from the shop?
Also, do you guys have a ballpark on hours or labor it cost to paint?

3M and some heat.
Some have put some screws underneath.
