0W-20 Synthetic Oil = Extra Power?

Regarding the placebo effect.
I have felt the difference in 5W-30 and 0W-20 (but others call me nutcase for this). The engine does seem to rev a lot free-er with the 0W-20. But that was my butt dyno.
It happened like this. My car needed 0w-20 in 2004. I go over to the Mobil1 oil change station and ask for that oil change. As I drove off, I felt the engine "sluggish"..not revving as freely as before. Weird. So I turn around and go back to the station and ask the service manager what oil did he use in the car. He promptly replied 5W-30 full synthetic.
Of course I pointed out that is the wrong grade, and he drained and refilled it, and I drove away happy.

So it has been a few tanks of gas and I am ready to report my fuel economy.
No real change. I am up about .5 - 1 MPG, but I am also not using the A/C like I was a month ago.
