Yes correct.

Although it will look 100x better if you can get Lexus to disable your car's DRL (which is the high beam on low power one)

Following this thread as im interested in this Mod and also from UK. Does anyone have the part number for complete Headlight replacement unit......

So take old Factory Halogen Headlight inc Plastic Casing out and replace with completely new unit, HID Xenon and LED Strip DRL's

Is this plug and play or is there much Mod required?

Will this create any warning lights on dash?

I need to ask Lexus to disable my factory DRL's?

i have read the LED DRL threads on here and the jist of it is that wiring modification is required from Xexon fit to factory fit 2006 Halogen.
P&P option is from USA company Sewell who offer this soultion, but like myself who has sourced these headlights from a scrap dealer, i will have to attempt the wiring.

basically from my understanding DRL has to be swtiched of on our 2006 as the LED strip will be on aswell as our parking/side lights at the same time which doesnt, visually, look good

 

Oh so is our DRL's American for our Side Lights? Because i didnt think i had DRL's

I never use my side lights, just always on Auto so lights come on when its dark and are off when its bright.

If you Headlight kit with LED Strip was installed, and Lights set to Auto? Id want LED STrip on when it was Bright (as DRL's) and Headlights AND LED Strip on when its dark

Wouldnt want to switch from Auto to Side Lights every day as it would defeat purpose of having Auto Headlights ie id forget to turn them on

Or am i missing the concept?
