Default Replace engine room no. 2 r/b (front controller)

Hi.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I picked up an 08 250 at auction, and it has come back to bite me. Mechanically the car is good, but whomever 'busted the ***** off it' as the wife who drives it says, screwed up plenty of stuff trying to do HIDs and other crap. I've manged to straighten a lot of it out, but the Fog lights are going to send me to an early grave. I've run through the troubleshooting guide down to checking conductance from the junction block plug to each fog light. When I tried to do that, I found that each fog light plug seems to have had a lightening storm inside. I've never seen something that arced that bad before, and I've been a shade tree mechanic for 25 years now. I've searched, and read, but I'm stumped. There's no power in the fog light plugs--not that that's any surprise. I take it many other lexis had a fog light relay to go with the fuse. My fuse isn't blown, but that doesn't mean someone didn't replace the blown one and give up there. Aparrently the fog light relay in mine isn't removeable and is part of a module. The nearest lexus place is far away, and spendy, so I'm trying to DIY it. So here are my questions:

1) is there a light in the cluster to indicate when the fog's are on, 'cause I don't have one?

2) What is the ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 R/B (FRONT CONTROLLER) ?

3) Where does it reside in the car?

4) Where the heck do I find one on Sewell?

5) Would replacing it be plug n play, or is the BCM or some other module going to have to invite it to the LAN party?

Thanks in Advance,

ThermobariC

Sounds like the previous owner had a HIGH output bulb in the fog housings that fired the factory wiring.

R/B = Relay box. It is on the drivers side, in front of the strut tower.

yeah, something bad happened. Relay Box, mmmmk. That's where the fog fuse is too. This is going to take some time. Anyone have a clue about the fog relay ? Like I said, alldata shows there to be one, but I can't find reference to it.
