IS350 Water pump

Just did the waterpump this am. Super easy, the easiest Ive done. Started at 8am and done by 10am. Bought the oem pump on amazon $95 prime. Dont have someone do it for you if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.

Ordered all my parts yesterday to replace my waterpump. I was really hoping the rattling sound wasn't the pump but yup, it is.
Aisin waterpump - PN WPT-137
Aisin thermostat - PN THT004
Gates serpentine belt - PN K070610
Zerex Asian Red coolant 2 gals - PN 675130
Car has 67,800 miles on it.
Hoping to have a dry day in the next few weeks to get this done.

Ours was making a slight grinding noise so when I pulled off the old pump I spun the bearing and I could hear it. Now with the new pump in it sounds like a completely different car.
It had 130k miles on it.

After a day of driving hard on a hot day in the canyons probably the hardest I driven my car, I got home and it sounded like the coolant is being boiled. Before however when I was in the canyons I pulled over after I noticed the temperature gauge going up. I opened the hood to let fresh air in and I noticed coolant being tossed out onto the engine. I’m assuming my water pump is bad. Is my assumption correct?

Any leak in the system will prevent it from filling the block back up when the engine cools. More likely it was low when you began pushing it and with trapped air you make steam, with steam you have overflow and subsequent boil over whereby the situation can easily escalate dumping more and more coolant as that steam easily exceeds the caps pressure rating.
Key takeaway;
The block only refills itself during cooldown.
Any leak in the cooling system (not reservoir vent), will allow the system to run low on coolant.
Just because the reservoir is full, that does not mean the block is full.
If the block has trapped air, a boil over can occur.
So if you go searching for tiny leaks and find none, inspect and clean the radiator cap. It has 3 sealing lands. One big one on the outside. Pretty obvious if it leaks. The pressure regulator seal. And the spring loaded vacuum seal. Inspect the vacuum seal and make sure no debris is caught in it. If debris is in there it will push fluid out when hot and NOT pull fluid in during cool down and it will not show a sign of leaking unless the reservoir over flows.
Also make certain the reservoir cap line is ported correctly. The pressure cap line needs to feed to the bottom of the reservoir and it is possible to connect it wrong. Ask @MikeFig82
