Default Strut Bar + Aftermarket Intake issues

Hi guys

I recently got the Cusco front sturt bar from the group buy but having some problems with my Fujita intake

The bar goes on just fine, but the space between the area where the intake curves into the cone filter hits the strut bar while the car is in motion.

I've seen other members here with an aftermarket strut bar + intake and was wondering if anyone else has these issues and how they resolved them?

I have tried to rework the angles of both the intake and bar but it still touches either way.

I have considered inserting, maybe a 3-4mm washer, in order to get the extra clearance but unsure if it is safe or if the hood can close down afterwards.

Any help is greatly appreciated !

my GT Spec bar makes contact but it's not a huge deal. There is a deep scratch where it makes contact but doesn't interfere with how the intake works.

Thanks for the reply sffd

I don't mind it making contact, the thing is it makes a noticeable vibration that I can feel on the pedals and steering wheel when the car is at a stop,

Would you suggest adding washers to get the extra clearance?

I read that you want to add washers but I wasn't sure whee you wanted to do that? You can add a piece of rubber underneath I'm thinking. Is it tightened down enough?

I was thinking of adding washers to the strut bolts to get some extra clearance

Putting a piece of rubber in between the contact area?

The bar is tightened down according to the torque specs, so I believe it is fine.

Does the contact in your car make a vibration in the cabin as well?

Put a few washers in and you should be fine and adding some rubber to the underside of the bar where it meets the intake might work too.
