Use brake clean to clean off the surfaces.

Seeing you have fresh oil drips in spots it appears the leak is current and still present.

Have you ever signed up at Lexus.com and viewed your vehicle's previous service history at Lexus? That might help see what had been replaced/repaired and help narrow down where the problem is coming from.

GL!

Is it ok to spray a degreaser like Simple Green onto those electrical connectors? I'm not going to unplug any of them, but just to get the grime off the outside of wires and connectors...is that ok or a no-no?
Ya, its fine to spray simple green and with a water hose those stuff out. Just dont use a pressure washer.

Yep, my lexus just shows regular maintenance and valve spring recall.

Oil level is still good and the same, so.......Guess I'll find out this weekend.

^Valve spring recall. I'd start by looking at the valve cover gaskets for leaks. If nothing there then I'd unfortunately push you back to my original thought of looking for the cam cover for leaks. This repair is pricey.

That recall was done October of 2010 though; I'd hope that in all the subsequent years/dealer visits the previous owner made, that would have been noticed and/or fixed.

I've been checking the top side of the engine daily and it looks ok. Will get back under this weekend and see what that looks like. Hopefully, it was just a very messy repair from before, but I do have an extended warranty on it so I am good to go.
