Default Replacement headlight housing and front grill

Hi guys. Thanks for having me.

My wife has a 2010 IS250 and she’s looking to replace her fogged headlights and looking for a black grill to replace the chrome trimmed one.

I believe her OE are halogen. Looking for something quality that doesn’t break the bank like the OE replacements. I appreciate any and all advice.

Also, if anyone is familiar with a black front grill, preferably mesh pattern that they would recommend, would appreciate that too

You can plastidip the chrome surround. Or hit up Cmod grills for a replacement. You MUST buy a grill that fits the 09-10 years as your model is unique to these years. Depo headlights are very popular here and look OEM from the 2012+ modles.

If you can replace headlights yourself, then you can restore them yourself too.

Remove the front bumper, pop the hood open, tape the fenders with masking tape and then duct tape over top for durability, and sand the headlights with 400 grit, 600, 1000, 2000, 3000.

Then when you can see all the faded factory headlight protection is gone, spray a few coats of clear on it to prevent re-fading. I got my clear coat for my old Acura TL at Home Depot and it worked great. I think it was Rustoleum brand.

Should be no more than $30 in materials and you get to keep OEM components.

There are hundreds of YouTube videos on how to restore the headlights, I particularly like this one...

Ceramic coating is possibly the best stuff to protect freshly restored headlights.

I restored my yellow headlights then applied coating but started to yellow after a year again. Then I restored them again but Xpel Ultimate clear bra'd them right after. hasn't yellowed for 2.5 years now.

I plastic dipped my grill about 6 months ago. Figured it would be chipped by now. It’s holding up to about 500 miles a week on the highway and New England winter.
If it does chip I’ll just peal off and do again in the spring.

As primavera advised you can clean up the head lights yourself. Very easy job. You can even do it with just a toothbrush or rag w/toothpaste. Probably wont come out as good as using buffing pad but it’ll make a difference. No Need to remove bumper. If you clear coat it after ,again no need to remove bumper. Just mask around headlights and areas that may get some over spray from the clear coat. You can find a black grille, not the chrome surround on EBay. Just search for F-sport grille

All the ways above are super great and considerable options. What I did was call Headlight Restore that you can find in your area through Google. They do everything from boats, to cars and any Lamp or head light that needs to be restored. Both Front head lights were sanded down and clear coated for $60. It also comes with a 2yr warranty if any sun damage happens and they turn yellow. It was worth the cost. Its like night and day, from Yellow Teeth to Ultra white teeth. Get a good Detail wax Like "Mothers" micro fiber towel and get that hood back to Bling. I wouldn't plastic dip a Lexus grill. I mean if we clean the lights and grill it will match, the way it was intended to. I notice people that drive with their Rims, Grills, Back brake lights all plastic dipped, they never clean the car well. Probably cause the dip starting to peel off, that too cheap for her. If your gonna Hook up your Lady, go all the way or dont go out at all. Forget 1 drink woman, have 4 is the slogan.
