Reliability wise I've seen less problems with the 350. Both are great choices.

i have both but i have 140k on my IS350 (bought Dec of 05). Only thing i really did was the following:

- oil change (5k)
- dif fluid change (30 to 40k)
- spark plug (once) at 100k when Lexus had recall on valve adjustment
- battery (once) at around 100k miles
- on my 3rd sets of tires

Tire sensor is out - never got to replace them and can only be done at lexus....
Navi touch screen broke - this will happen if you have 250/350/ISF. This will also cost you over 2k to fix.
avg of 24 mpg

Knock on wood so far...

not this topic again, it's been beating to death. however, as a recent owner of an IS250 and now an IS350, i can vouch the mpg figures between two cars are very similar, maybe 1 mpg in favor of the 250 but that's about it.

I had is250 too, now 350! Forget about 250 it's underpowered, if you want 250 better get corolla less expenses.
And yes mpg almost same 250 and 350.

Really? A corolla over a 250? lol
And MPG is in the same range only if you don't have a heavy foot

Yes 350 has better breaks, handling, engine sound nicer when you wot, and don't have to worry about carbon build up.

And you can't drive like a grandma on 350 this car always wants to go faster.

I wont make this into another "250 vs 350" thread.

Bottom line is, some people don't have a use for the extra 100hp, they just need a good daily that's still luxurious.

Are this kilometers or miles??? You waited 100K miles you change your plugs??? That's almost twice the manufacturer's recommended service interval, if so.

Also, about the touch screen, what do you mean this "will" happen? I think it's not an uncommon problem, but far from ubiquitous.

100k miles, and I believe they changed the plug from 60k to over 100k miles because they told me to come back later...

They car drives perfectly fine... i was actually getting better gas mileage before they replace the plugs...

Touch screen issue - maybe it's uncommon because not every car has a navi, and i personally know 2 people + me have this issue. Maybe this is why they new Lexus have mouse instead of touch screen? Regardless if it happens or not (if something happen to your touch screen you will expect to pay around 2k to 2.5k.

350 hands down; never heard of a 350 having carbon build-ups issue and stalling at stop lights. LOL!
