Airbag Question
Hello all,
I searched the forums and couldn't really find the answer for my question.
I got a lexus is350 steering wheel in carbon fiber that I will be putting in my vehicle, and I bought an airbag cover for it since it didn't come with one(I have a toyota which this steering wheel will fit in). However unfortunately the airbag cover didn't come with the bracket needed to stick it on to the steering wheel. Does anyone know if this part can be ordered separately and know the part number or has one of these brackets available for sale. A new airbag module online seems to be about 200-300+ and would seem to be a waste since I already have the toyota airbag that fits the module I just need the bracket to stick on to it.
Thanks for any help.

Just swap out your steering wheel from OEM to your new carbon fiber one, and reuse your OEM airbag column. Y need to buy airbag ? just disconnect your battery and step on your brake for more than 30 seconds before you do the swap . Hope that help.

Perhaps I wasn't clear in what I was trying to convey but,
I purchased an IS Carbon Fiber wheel that came with no airbag cover/module.
I then purchased online an airbag cover for an IS. (I was assuming it would come with the metal Y bracket / or didn't need it to stick on to the IS carbon Fiber wheel)
I do not own an IS car therefore I do not have an OEM wheel with the bracket.
So I can now see looking at the pictures the bracket that holds the airbag module in place is also what must attach the airbag cover to the IS Steering wheel.
So I am trying to find out if I can just order that airbag holder bracket separately, as it seems like a waste to spend 300+ dollars on the airbag assembly when I don't need the airbag cover or the actual airbag since my toyota airbag is the same size/shape and will fit and will be safer since I won't be modifying any wiring.
