navi change ?

so i was just wondering if at all possible to change the 08 navi computer and put in the 2012+ computer. i know they sell a kit that is an afftermarket one for like $450

why swap just the computer? that wont do anything nor do i think its a direct swap.

It's not direct swap, there was some changes on 10-12 model years.
