If you want black emblems, go to Sewell and get the back Pearl.
Ever heard, dont let the name brand wear you. Lexus is just a name brand and I've seen lots of people used knock offs or no name parts and is still a top notch lexus!

These posts should require pics. How can we help if we cannot see?

Psh, to whoever thinks plasti dip looks cheap just shut it. I painted my entire IS with matte blue plasti dip and I've had more people than I can count ask me to spray their cars for them as well. It's about 1/10th the cost of a vinyl wrap and it looks awesome.

I bought it in gallon form and thinned it out...shot it through a paint gun. Took me about 4-5 hours including prep and tear down/clean up. Cost was right around $200

This is false buddy.. it CAN be used properly for a lexus, especially with kids on a budget. Not all of us have unlimited money sources.

I thinned it out 3:1
3 quarts of paint and 1 quart of thinner mixed up a gallon at a time. I've only got two gallons into it so far but I've got another gallon to put a few more coats on to even it out and hit a few spots I missed(like the back side of the mirrors). I think I'm going to do the roof black as well to go along with the cf hood/trunk..and maybe the two sides of the hood in blue to follow the body lines.

LOL I was in my friend's car & he didn't have a clue what you were trying to do so I had to explain to him.

I was just curious if all that wind & drag would cause the plasti dip to run/drip.

If mine isn't SGM color I probably would've done this DIY. Looks really nice on white I must say.

Haha, that's actually what sparked me to want to do that to my car...I taped the whole thing for a road trip once and was like "I wish my car was always this color"...now it is.

Goo Gone works great for removing plasti dip. My friend attempted to black out his roof and it didnt turn out so good. Just be very liberal with it and you shouldnt have any problem
