Default Help Identify these parts

can anyone help identify these parts. I have a ticking and it sounds like it is coming from one of these parts. Obviously it's the one i am pointing at with a RED pointer.

This is on the passenger side engine compartment

It is on a 2006 IS350

The car sounds a little like a diesel when you drive it. Not really bad, but a hard clicking under acceleration. sometimes it is louder and sometimes almost not there.

PART #1

and this one...

PART #2

Educated guesses:
Part Number 1
http://is.sewellparts.com/oem-catalo...S350-2006.html
PN 15330B

Part Number 2
http://is.sewellparts.com/oem-catalo...S350-2006.html
PN 23100X

Hope that helps! (and I hope they ain't broke!)

Thank you!

I cannot tell you how many times I looked at those diagrams and couldn't find these.

One part is 900.00 and one is 90.00, sure hope it's the 90.00 part.

Are you sure the ticking isn't just the normal clicking from the fuel injectors? The IS has high pressure direct injection, and the ticking sound they make is reminiscent of a diesel engine.

The car is new to me, but I don't believe this is normal. It's louder than a DI should be. DI engines click when idle and somewhat smooth out under throttle, this is a distinct click while driving.

I'm gonna run it by the dealer...1hr away.

Save your time...it is completely normal to hear that. I'm sure if you search the word "tick" within CL you'll find many threads about it.
