Default Warranty Expiration

Hey all, my 2008 is 350 warranty is almost done. i`ve had no issues or problems with my car and the only recall was for the accelerator pedal/floormat interferance which I declined. I`ve had the low dust brake pads done and changed the oil every 6 months as I only drive it 4500 miles per year, it`s NOT my daily driver. My question, is there anything i should be looking for or other concerns that should be taken care of before the 4 year period is done. Thanks in advance for all your help this is a great site/club with lots of valuable info. and cool people too.

If you have no real problems, I would check the bottom corners of the side windshield mouldings, because they may deteriorate/crack due to exposure to the elements, and if they are, they get replaced with an improved version under warranty.

Absolutely all squeaks and rattles, particularly in the dash. Also, check this thread for common issues on the 2IS you may want to check for: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...e-threads.html

If your car isn't giving you any problems, there's not much you can do or ask for from the dealer. The recall stuff however I would do, as it could only help (not hurt), or at least be beneficial for resale purposes. I too drive about the same yearly mileage as you (2008), so not much has needed attention except for some rattles.

I'd be careful about getting the rattles fixed unless it's pretty bad. I've taken mine in and it seems to get worse every time I take it in. I've had to take it in about 4-5 times before the rattles stopped. It still makes noise but it's a little quieter than when i first brought it in. :/

All very true. They'll fix one, but create another. I'm on my fourth visit for rattles, but I'm the type who can't handle any extra racket. As it stands now, I'm pretty confident I've done enough of my own homework to pinpoint what they need to do. Sorry to hijack the thread.
