Looks to be in great condition. If you like the price and get a clean bill of health from a mechanic - buy it. Let us know.

Well, the ad is lying....

it states: SPORT PKG, Premium Package, Luxury Package

Which is impossible, because all 3 are mutually exclusive from each other.

Based on the photos it's premium package only, which has, by far, the least content of any of those 3.

Rather than being "loaded with options" it appears to have exactly 3 options from a base model-

Nav (which includes the backup camera)

Premium package (which is just woodgrain and heated/vented seats)

18" wheels

(it's possible it also has HIDs and/or SAT radio, can't tell from the pics... the ad says so, but it's lying about so much else, who knows? Both are easy for you to check in person though- Press AM/SAT a few times, if you never get anything but AM radio it doesn't have satellite radio.... for HIDS use the multi-switch (the switch that looks like <0> to the lower left of wheel) and see if there's an AFS ON/OFF option- if so it has HIDs, otherwise it doesn't)

Not to say it's a bad car at all, but be aware it's missing quite a few options compared to what they claim, and if they're lying about that they could be lying about more details, so be sure to get a proper inspection done on it (and carfax, etc)

Start here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...e-threads.html

Check dealer service history, get a pre-purchase inspection, check it for the common issues.

First off, the whole ad is wrong. You can't have the Premium Package, Luxury Package, AND Sport Package. The Luxury and Sport Packages are mutually exclusive - you can only have one and not the other. I see this all the time - someone listing a car just Googles "IS350 packages" and then lists them all. The above thread shows all the options available and how to tell what the car TRULY has.

Second, make sure you ask to see the Carfax and preferably the Autocheck as well. I'm suspicious that they go on and on about how the car's clean but don't provide a link to the Carfax. I've seen tons of 2IS buyers on here see a clean Carfax and later find out there's been accident damage. That's why it helps to check both reports, and have a thorough pre-purchase inspection.

Finally, in terms of how good a deal it is, it seems like an OK deal. One thing to keep in mind is that this car will be out of all warranties entirely. So any problem you have is out of pocket. That's why it's extremely important to check the car for issues, and check the dealer service history to see if they've been addressed previously.

The IS350 is very reliable, but be aware of the common issues and how much they cost to fix, since it's a risk. The cam gear TSIB is a $1600 fix, and the nav going out is $2000 (though there are some DIY fixes you can attempt).

What report did you run? A Carfax, dealer history report, or something else? Because if you ran a Carfax and it clearly showed an accident, you need to report that dealer to the Better Business Bureau for false advertising. If they were to sell that car to you by saying it had a clean Carfax even if it didn't, that would be fraud.

Ah OK. Well then either the Carfax is actually clean and this is yet another example of the importance of running both reports, OR the Carfax shows the accident too and the dealer's lying.

Whatever the case, you come out ahead. Glad you caught that and can pass on it!

That car is... very odd...

It appears to be a completely base model... no options at all... except for:

Nav with Mark Levinson

Very very weird to see Nav and ML on an otherwise stripped car.

Also of note- the SAT/AM button is missing from the stereo head unit

You're kidding, right?

You passed on the first car because it had an accident. This car has TWO accidents?

Two separate accidents by the second owner. And a whole lot of service records relating to things I haven't often seen required of the 2IS (master cylinder replaced?)

The wheels, two accidents and a missing button on the center console the dealership didn't even bother to replace before selling? You shouldn't even have to post this looking for opinions.
