Default Help!! Indicator lights on speedometer and odometer when out.

I am hoping you all would have an idea of how to fix this. My Indicator lights on the odometer and speedometer have went out. The numbers and everything light up except for the indicators showing your speed and rpm. I'm hoping this is just a fuse issue. I spoke with mechanic at lexus and they said I would basically have to buy a new dash for $1200 and that was my only option. I would much appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

Sorry to hear about that. How many miles on the car?

It is unlikely to be a fuse. Happens quite often on the forum and from what I read in the past you can do it yourself and repair if you take it all apart and change out the LEDs on the two needles. Or get a new one.

There is a thread on it somewhere...

Good luck.

$122 sounds about right because they are going to replace the instrument cluster as it is not repairable.

neomedic posted the URL about it. Also forum member LEDGuy has replaced LEDs on needles as well and put different colors instead. Maybe make it look like ISF colored needles!

I made a DIY on how to replace the LEDs on the needles but it requires you to know how to solder. If you don't know how, then it's best to not attempt it cause it's not easy without experience. Otherwise, I can change out the LEDs for you, I've done it for several members already.
