Damn what happened? It looks like a pretty nasty impact, but i think insurance will say its repairable unless the frame was damaged. I would prefer they total out the car too. Glad everyone made it out safely.

Also doesn't like totalled to me...

I don't think the cost of repair will come close to the value of the car.

I can see hood, bumper, suspension, wheel, brake components replacement are needed.

Sorry to hear about the accident...glad ur ok.

Is the car paid off? It can be repaired. If insurance declares a total lose, go for it. They might also offer you to purchase the car from them for a fraction of the value of the car. Let's say, $5k. I figure it may cost another $5k to reapair with used parts. I did the same with a Camry I had.
If you don't want to deal with repairs, just total it.

yep, the car is paid off. And thanks for the advice, I may consider doing that, if things go that direction.

It was a really stupid mistake on my end. I was trying to pass someone in front of me and I got in the left lane (which was merging, into the right lane) so I had very little time to pass that vehicle. As I cut in front of that car, my driver side rear tire made contact with the median and I lost control. My car slipped went over the median, then I hit a street sign and on to on coming traffic and then hit the median on the other side of the street, and then my car stop against a wall. I didn't hit anyone (thank god). I seriously will never do anything like that again. I'm just glad I walked away from this.

sorry to hear/see. Pretty dumb move and lucky you walked away and didn't hurt anyone, but we've all done dumb things. You can get that fixed with the things others have said. It will be very close on the value vs. the cost of repair %. If they do total it, you can purchase the car back for a certain percentage and have it salvaged. Then you can have it repaired if you want. Good luck.

Good thing no one got hurt.

Seems like you were speeding to try and pass the person in front.
