There just isn't enough room in the headlight with the type of LED setup they were using to also keep the AFS motor in there.

AFS is optional on the 2013 GS, but I assume the lights are designed differently to handle it. Also the GS uses only Bi-Xenon with no halogen high beam, so there is more room in the headlight for other things. The GS350 has rear-mount bulbs and super easy to change ballasts though, so they should have wider output than the IS anyway. Having AFS would be icing on the cake. A few new Toyota/Lexus models are going to the new ballast design (Round ballast behind the bulb. It is the cover you remove to get to the bulb. Very easy to change.)

I have a feeling that AFS will likely get added back to the IS when the 3IS comes out, as they will have a change to design the headlights with enough room for both.

Jeff

So has anyone figured out how to make auto leveling to work on 2010 IS with AFS disabled? If you just pull the AFS fuse you will loose autoleveling.

You leave the fuse in there and watch the AFS OFF light flash...

or

You buy a roll of and crack open the gauge cluster to cover the LED..

It really doesn't get any easier than that...

Not sure if you got an answer, but yes.

If you bought yours from Sewell you should be able to return them for the TSIB product within that first year (they certainly won't do the install/reinstall for you though). Hope it works out for you.

Sorry newb questions...

What's the flasher relay for?

The mod to keep the LEDs on 100% all the time without dimming, is that built in now? Or does that have to be modded?
