Steering requires much more effort after Short block replacement
Starting to regret bringing the car in (even though it must have really needed work) for this service. I noticed it right away yesterday, but decided maybe it was because I was in an ES350 for a week that required NOTHING to turn the wheel.
However this morning I am 100% confident that the steering requires a LOT more force to turn. At the same time the brakes also require much more pushing to get the same result as before I brought the car in.
Are there any systems that are linked that would cause both of these symptoms?
If this is something that developed after your overhaul service, I strongly suggest you don't tamper with anything and take it back. Bring up all the concerns on the affected parts and have the dealerships techs look into this. You don't want to be attempting to solve a problem with casual service. There could be a bad vacuum with the brake booster and also some electrical issue with your steering. Don't hesitate and keep stalling just take it in.
