Selling 08 GFM IS250/ Getting 2012 USB or Nebula IS350???
#19
I'd get the USB. Nebula Grey is a nice color, but the USB looks great with the new look. BTW, the way you captured your third pic was pretty cool. My eyes had to do a double take since your cluster was transitioning between "Key Is not detected" and "Left door open."

I don't think I will be doing any modifications that aren't Lexus made, if at all. I've had an IS250 for 4 years and loved that enough, so the 350 f-sport would be a big 'nuff mod for me. It seems like F-Sports are a mixed bag. Some come with lots of extras and some the bare minimum.

Nebula looks dull and business-like to me. Plus it nearly matches the rim color on the F-Sport, leaving no contrast of colors or reducing what makes the F-sport stand out in the first place. I'd get bored with this color fast.
It's going to be hard beating the dynamics of GFM. We have identical cars, options, and nearly the same mileage. I'd hold on to what you have and wait for the redesign. While I too am not real hot on the fang grille, I think many of us are getting used to it pretty fast. I trust Lexus will do the 3IS right.

On topic of car sale, I will be leasing the f sport 350 at a decent price for 36 months, so thats something I probably couldnt afford with the new upcoming model at least for a while. Nonetheless, by the end of my lease, the 3IS will barely be 2 or 3 years into its production run, at which point most current emerging cars will be more affordable/ have issues fixed/options tweaked/etc.

Nebula does look a little dull to me too but it was a consideration. Lol my likes about the current rev of the 2IS is all over color wise. I actually like white when it comes to the rear just because of the contrast at the bottom of the bumper. Id like black or sgm for the front to hide the lines of the canards, if you can call em that. I really wish they had SGM still. In F-sport that looks pretty bad ***. The blue is hot, but I also don't want to attract the wrong attention police or otherwise. It's definitely not as subtle as GFM.

The USB is fine. It's attractive and flashy but should not really get the cops attention even thou it is an eye catcher.
Consider it this way; the car color does in a way represent the personality of the owner. Also statistically, red colored cars actually get the most pulled over for tickets of all. It may not seem true because there is a lot more white cars than red, however percentage wise in the amount of the particular color pulled over vs how many of the particular are out there, it is red. Red is easy to spot and associates to speed; one other reason fire engines are red.

Wow never imagined it to be so close in terms of voting. I am leaning towards blue, ive yet to have anything like that color, have had black, silver, and now gfm in cars. I'd say I have a duality, i like subtle and luxurious but also like bold and aggressive. I guess in LA, cops are watching out for actual sports cars/loud modded cars or shady types. Its funny that in Los Angeles, the real exciting part for me will the better 0-40 mph, versus the IS250, since its nearly impossible or insane to go much faster anywhere in LA thats not a freeway, and even there... maybe 90 mph?
