Default Questions about rims..

I tried searching for the answer but wasn't really able to find anything.
Just wanted to ask you guys since this is my first time buying rims,
are 28.8pds rims too heavy? What weight is considered ok for rims? Also what are the weights
On our stock rims?

28.8 lbs is hella heavy for aftermarket wheels! Our stock wheels is 26-27 lbs I believe. You want something 20 lbs or under.

Are these aftermarket wheels generally just for show or do they serve some sort of functional use? Of course, I am not referring to the OEM noise reduction wheels since that does serve a functional purpose.
