07 IS350 headlight... ECM!??!
My driver's side headlight (oem HID) went out a couple months ago. I ordered new bulbs (oem) and had them both replaced. It fixed the problem - for about 5 minutes. My driver's side would turn off within a few seconds of coming on. After taking to dealership, I was told it was the ECM that needed to be replaced, and it'd cost upwards of $1200.
I got my local mechanic to look at it, and he said that the ECM may be the problem... but I can't find anyone else online who's had this problem.
Anybody know what's up!?

I can't answer your question but I know the answer is out there on CL. Try searching the IS Second Generation forum for ECM, ballast issue, etc. I don't know what ECM is but if evogt500 above is right and it's the ballast (which I presume it is, since HID issues are typically only either bulb-related or ballast-related) then you can probably get the ballast parts cheaper on somewhere like Sewell. There might be a DIY guide to replacing it on CL.
