Default Ebay Replica Wald Trunk Spoiler

I saw on ebay that a replica Wald trunk spoiler is selling and wanted to know if anyone has bought it and see if the fitment is off? $170 > $500 real one heres the link:

I've heard that the fitment is slightly off, but its not terrible. If you mold it, you can make it work perfectly.

Some people seem to say the fitment is pretty good, but honestly every one i've seen that hasn't been molded does not have good fitment at all. There always seems to be noticeable gaps, especially on the part of the spoiler that lays on the top of the actual trunk.

I bought with full intention of molding it. Good thing this is the case because the fitment is off. Definitely worth it if you want to save some money and are willing. To mold it.

Heres a thread with most members that have a wald spoiler rep or authentic, you can get feedback from everyone there how they feel about it https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...are-there.html

btw just looked at your ebay link. I bought it from the same seller

Hey I saw your pictures on that thread you provided and I'm loving that rear, looks exactly like my friends 2011 sti sedan rear. Which rear is that?

Looks like this

That rear lip is a JP Vizage. The Wald is very similar too. My friend bought me that Wald replica spoiler for my birthday. The fitment isn't too bad but the edges don't sit on the trunk and the emblem hole is cut wrong. I'm going to sell it soon, wanted to mold it but decided to get an Ings spoiler instead.

Looks amazing and if I might ask...If I don't mold the trunk spoiler and just want to just put it there...the only good fitted one is the actual wald or does anyone have any experience from some other seller? I just want this spoiler, it looks so dope

My rep fit just fine before i molded and the rear is actually the rep of jp vizage made from bayson r but I modified it a little by adding the grill and painting flat black on the areas around the exhaust

so your saying if i order that rep and paint it, it will sit perfect without giving me a hard time? Only reason I don't want to mold is because idk how long I'm going to have the car and doin a trade with another trunk is just a pain. The authentic wald is like $540+shipping which is way too much for a spoiler.

Well I got mine from the same seller on eBay so i didn't have a problem. And especially since Ure already saying u don't know how long you'll have the car for + we all know cars depreciate anyways so why invest that much money into it. You'll be able to get the rep & paint + install for less than what the authentic is alone. I've even heard the authentic isn't exactly perfect fitment. As for where the emblem sits both are the same. Only difference is the rep the hole is cut out and the authentic the hole is filled. I like the fact that mine was cut so the emblem sits deeper in the hole

^^thanks so much RDIS250 you are the biggest help man. I'm really considering buying this spoiler...you got any pictures with the spoiler on without molding or did you immediately mold? Who know's how long I'll keep it but hey $169+paint isn't breaking the bank for a $600+ spoiler and what part of OH you in..if you don't mind me asking? my uncle lives in the Medina/Akron area. We should meet up sometime, ur IS is custom everything lol.
