Default How difficult is it to replace a steering wheel?

I'm considering buying an F-Sport steering wheel or something along those lines. For those of you out there that have done the replacement-is it possible to do yourself? How much does it typically cost if you take it to a shop? Thanks for your input.

There's a youtube video that shows you how to do it. It looks pretty simple really, if you know how to use a screw driver.. you're pretty much set. =P

Just go to youtube and search "Sewell, Steering Wheel" and it'll be the first link that pops up.

Is there any huge risk of the airbag going off in your face? Kinda scares me :P

I did this myself following the video above. Never did this before and it took me a half hour total. DO disconnect the battery and take a few photos of the wiring to see how it is routed so you know how to put it back together properly.

Good Luck

I'd rate it a 3/10 on the brociouz DIY difficulty scale. Just follow the video and be sure to take note of the wiring and original position of your steering wheel wire spindle.
