Default Single Knock under car while driving 20-30 mph

Has anyone had a knocking issue while driving. It sounds like running over a soda can or something on the road. This has happened to me twice already and I did look in the rear view mirror to see nothing on the road. I only have 2k miles on this 2011 is350.

I had a similar issue. Have the dealership check the heat shield. Mine was loose and made the same sound you are talking about when the car was brand new.

Thanks for the quick response. Where is the heat shield located and is it a major issue to fix? Have you had the noise since the repair?

The heat shinks are located throughout most of the vechile underneath if I am correct since I've seen the underbody of my car and see a the silver like sheilds. They could probably do an adjustment to see if it can diminish the sound somewhat - the sounds most likely occuring because of the heat.

I have a similar issue right now and my car is at the dealer at the moment. They had the car a couple of says and they called me and told me it was injector noise. I told the service adviser "Sorry Sir but I was a mechanic while going through school and that is not injector noise" He **** after that and said they'll keep the car longer to check it.

This from the same guy who did not know what the powertrain warranty was.

My noise was directly underneath the front passenger seat (or so it seemed). To give you an idea of how loud it was, I even pulled over on the highway after I heard it (60-70 mph), just to see if something was caught underneath the car. After I told Lexus what I heard they told me they adjusted the heat shield and I haven't heard the noise since.

Hope this helps!
