How come the car IS 220d didnt go to US? It is only manual stick?

I heard that the disel version isn't as reliable - it has issues.

My guess would be not enough people would buy it.

I don't know too many people that would buy an IS in diesel. Most people favor gasoline cars, especially when it comes to luxury cars lol

Back in the 1980s GM made some diesel cars... that were horrible for reliability.

It pretty much destroyed the market for diesel cars (not trucks) in the US... with only the occasional one or two German models selling at all from time to time.
