Default Parrot Bluetooth and Low Volume

I have a Parrot MKi9100 hands free bluetooth kit installed in my IS350. However, when I use the Parrot to answer the phone via bluetooth, the volume level of the incoming call is like 10% of what the radio volume was when the music was playing. In other words, when the call comes in, I basically have to crank the volume of my radio way up just to hear the caller.

I have the latest firmware installed for the Parrot.

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. If so, were they able to fix it.

Thanks.

I have a somewhat similar issue but it's with my XM radio. when switching to XM, the volume is like maybe 70% of whatever volume is on radio. Have not yet figured out why the difference.

But, sorry bro, No clue about your BT.

Actually, that helps. If you have the same problem with your XM, then it seems like it might be the Lexus car audio not working well with the line-in input vs. my Parrot bluetooth kit.

My wife has an aftermarket BT radio in her minivan and the volume on the BT is controlled completely by her phone. No other ability to turn it up on the unit (maybe the same for you?).

In case the OP hasn't solved this problem, here is relevant information from the Parrot Mki9100 user guide:

"Using the Parrot MKi9100 while on a call
Adjusting the volume
Use the jog wheel during a call to adjust the communication volume. > The volume setting is saved for subsequent calls."

I am curious where you have this unit installed? I would love to get this unit installed into my ashtray compartment. That would be a custom setup, but would be ideal for me.

I have this exact same problem on my 2010 Camaro SS. When the same thing surfaced on my 2012 IS350 I asked around and the general consensus is that the XM signal is attenuated, i.e., compressed, and the result is what we hear. I do not know if this is true for all vehicles and I do not know if certain manufacturers compensate for this. I do know that I'm oh-4-2 on vehicles with sat radio.

Not sure that this is related.
