I just got 2012 headlights installed on my 2006 IS350, but the LEDs don't turn on during the daytime when my **** is set to AUTO. Any ideas? (They do turn on when I have my headlights or parking lights on.)

Also, what's this about having the LEDs set to 100%? Are they normally not? (And how would I tell / change it?)

Assuming you have the lights from Sewell, the LEDs are wired as parking lights, so setting the **** to auto during the day will keep them off. If you need to turn them on, you have to turn on the parking lights.

The light intensity of the OEM 2011/2012 models is set to 100% as DRLs, and when the actual head lights turn on, the light intensity of the LEDs goes down to 50%. The sewell lights will always stay at 100% intensity.

Thanks for the clarification. All this time, I thought the LEDs were on in place of the DRLs (wouldn't that be nice).

Mines wired to the IGN. So when I turn my car on it comes on automatically and stays on 100% no need to turn any ***** or push any buttons

When your headlights are on, can you turn off the car with this setup? I remember some one had trouble turning off the car when the headlights were on and the LEDs were wired to IGN. Also, did you wire both head lights to IGN?

Is there a DIY for wiring the LEDs to IGN? I'm thinking of doing the same and disabling the DRLs.

Now i have a newbie question. If I remember correctly, the green wire of the head light is the LED power, did you tap into this wire to connect it to the IGN or did you remove it from the headlight plug and wired it to the IGN?

wire was tapped. My buddy ohiois350 helped me with this. Check out this thread

If you wanna have your DRL disabled take it to the stealership they should do it for free. Most members have had it done. I like mine on so I left it alone

Seems simple enough, but I cannot understand the broken English on that post well enough to commit to cutting any wires. :\ I still want to do this though.

Sorry that was me, my English is not good hiii, but yeah if you want to get the Leds stay on at 100% at all time without turn the parking light on or off even on auto mode, u have to cut the green wire and tap that to IGN2

Thanks, ohiois350.

I have the Sewell lights so they are already at 100%.

So I should cut the green wire and use something like the tool linked below to tap it to IGN, right? How do I know which wire is IGN?
