Default A/C Circulation Button

Is there a way to set the recirculation button to stay on. When I start the car its set to allow outside air to come in and the auto mode doesn't work well. Im trying to minimize the dirt/dust.

I can't imagine dirt and dust coming from outside through the ac.

this drives me crazy too, but the other way....it stays on recirc during the summer because the button setting is based on what you want the inside temp to be & what the outside temp is.

I am not sure but I don't remember having an issue with it staying on recirculate.

Either way if the cabin filter in the glove box is clean dust should not be an issue.

The dust isn't the problem, its the fumes from the outside.

set the temperature lower than what it is outside. As long as its lower than outside, the car will remain in recirc mode even after the air is turned off.

I hate this. Mine flips to recirculate if the air is on. Wish it remembered where I left it.

mine always has recirculation on whenever i start the car. i actually would prefer it to remain off and turn it back on when there are fumes or dust around.

One thing to remember--if you don't let the outside air in, the system may retain moisture and get moldy--giving that gym locker smell.....

i think it's one of the lexus personalized settings. mine used to be stuck on the same mode whenever the car started but after i got the dealer to change the settings, mine is always on outside air. Less fogging windows and more fresh vancouver air.
