Default HIDExtra 6000 HID lows + fogs.

Hi all,
Just want to share my experience with the HIDExtra HID i purchased during the Black Friday sale they had. All the HID's were 50% off, so i took advantage of the sale and bought 2 pairs of the 6k 35W slim ballasts for my lows and fogs since my car came with halogens and that ain't cool

Here are the pictures of before and after:

Before:

During:

After:

Installation took about 4 hours(i know its a long time)due to the time consuming bumper and intake removal, but it wasnt that bad. Everything was pretty straight forward and im glad the color matches 90%. It doesnt look as blue as it shows in the picture compared to real life but just a slight hint of blue, which is nice.

So yeah, for those who are still with halogen bulbs, I highly recommend HID's as it improves your night visibility!

Looks great.

But you didn't really need to remove your bumper to install the fogs. You can just turn your wheels to the side and open your fender liner. Everything will be accessible there.

yeah, but it is really hard to reach in.. especially i need to hide the ballast behind the reinforcement bar..

btw, does anyone experience excessive heat from the HID coming out from the fogs? mine seem quite hot when i touch it after having it on for like 5-10 mins.. i hope it wont melt my foglight housing because i commute alot..

I didn't go as far as taking the bumper off, but I did take the wheel and the liner out, to get access to the fogs.

As far as the heat goes, I think you should be okay. I have the exact same kit installed for over a year now and I have a 1 hour + commute every day with no problems.
