New to Lexus: IS350 F-Sport
Hello everyone. Just got my first 2011 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport and am enjoying it very much. I have searched and have a few questions to confirm a few things. Thanks in advance for the responses. I'm hoping to learn as much as I can from you guys.
1. What is the factory filled engine oil? I read on this forum that it's synthetic 5W-30. Does the car burn oil during break in? Has anyone changed the oil early due to metal flakes in the oil? I read Lexus runs the engine at the factory so I'm thinking that shouldn't be a problem.
2. How did you guys break in the car? I've been driving it a bit harder than I normally drive (once warmed up, of course). The car is too fun to go easy on. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
3. What does "sport suspension" mean in the F-Sport package? I intend on getting the F-Sport sway bars and wondering if the package already has them.
4. Does anyone have LED front and rear turn signals? I've searched and couldn't find much on those.

Nice car!
For #3, your F-sport package suspension uses factory sport package springs that lower your car a hard-to-notice .25"; these are not the same as the blue-color F-Sport aftermarket lowering springs that you can buy at the dealership parts department to lower your car 1". It does not come with the F-Sport sway bars from the factory, unless your dealership put them on there.

Nice car! I like seeing the F-Sport in black.

as for the break in part, try to drive your car locally for the first 1k miles without over-stressing the engine.
anyways glad to see another F-Sport in the club

I'm currently waiting to get my LED turn signals. It would require a turn signal relay or load resistor to work properly with it.

Welcome to CL, it's nice to see another 350Fsport.
We took our 350 on a ~550 miles drive over the last couple of days and we enjoyed every minutes of it.
Enjoy her in good health.

I will be making a thread on the LED's when I get them. I can only most likely do a quick test because I do not have the relay piece yet but can at least test them using the hazard signal.
