Default hearing grinding sound when making sharp left turn

especially pulling into parking spots on the left side with modest speed. it sounds like something's rubbing or grinding underneath the car. i'm running f-sport springs and 19'' f-sport wheels, so i don't think it's the tire rubbing. any ideas?

I had the same problem in another car and it was a bad wheel bearing.

the thing is it does not happen all the time. only if i head into the turn with some speed. if you doing it with parking lot speed, you don't hear a thing.

The exact same thing happened in my other car. I would have to turn in going at least 30mph and I would hear a grinding when turning left. It wasn't a particularly expensive repair either, a tech should be able to spot it very quickly if it is in fact a bad bearing.

it might also be a CV joint--those tend to start grinding if the boot is torn and the grease has dried up--easy to fix but do it quick, too long and you will have to replace the whole CV joint instead of just repack the grease and the torn boot.

i just hope it's not cause by the 19'' f sport wheels i just put on. tires are all factory recommended sizes and i'm riding on f-sports springs so tire rubbing shouldn't be an issue. but the noise did start occurring recently just around the time i made the wheel swap.

i would pull the wheel, either you will have the tell tale scrapes on the lip of the wheel or a scorch, rubbing area on the tires.

So I went to an empty parking lot and stopped when its making the sound
apparently my tires are rubbing the plastic
when i got out the car it was not rubbing
but there's not even a finger gap wide of the place of the rubbing

so I suppose its the weight of the driver added onto the car making it rub

it's more of a scrap than rub. only lasts miliseconds long. this morning however, i purposely picked out a parking spot on my left and zoom right in, guess what, no noise. it's off and on.

Happen to me as well before with stock suspension, it's the wheel rubbing against something when making a sharp turn at high speed.

but i'm using factory or f-sport recommended tire sizes and only riding on f-sport springs. if that causes rub then what can i do?

i'm pretty sure it's tire rubbing after seeing this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...t-and-19s.html

if that's the case, is there a fix?
