Default mark levinson subwoofer help

ok. so i was inspecting the subwoofer for tears and wears. and i dont know what i was thinking but i took off the back panel of the mark levinson sub.

and now when i hook it up. the audio would come on but then you'll hear a loud crack from the audio and it shuts off all audio. silent. then it comes back and it would crack again and silent. very frequently. like 2 seconds interval. so i disconnected the sub again then the audio is fine.

has anyone ever taken the sub woofer apart like i have and had similar issue.. anyone know of a fix??

here are the pictures.

You removed the coil from the magnet. It will no longer drive. You will now need to replace the subwoofer.

Yep, you broke it sir. Time to replace it. The audio system is going into "protection" mode when detecting your sub is causing a major issue there. Bummer.

Thank you. I will try searching around for a box that I can use that won't take up too much trunk.

Thank you. Was needing ideas for a new amp to kick the 12. Gotta look into that 500/1 amp in that link.

ok.. so i was looking around the forum and i see alot of the JL 500/1. then found out that there was a 500/1v2.

whats the difference and will the 500/1v2 work with an old discontinued JL 12w6?

i dont know what this ohms and stuff that audio experts are referring to so im lost at audio setups.

probably end up buying the amp and have it installed at a place if this setup will work.

thanks.

2>1, so it has an improved version number. (I'm being facetious, I'm sure you can Google this information). It should still work with older 12w6's.

I'm sure the amp will work with the sub.

Will it work with the is350? Has nav and mark lenvinson.
