2011 IS350 oil filter
I put both the Blitz Air Filter and Cabin Air Filter (also known as Pollen Filter and A/C Filter) in my car. I've heard that you can just clean both and re-use them. I'm trying to find proper instructions on how to handle the cleaning and if they both can really last a lifetime with cleaning every 30k-ish miles.
Why would you never wait 10k miles for an oil and filter change? I thought that I've seen UOA's show that with Synthetic oil at least, you could push the oil past 10k miles. You just have to change the oil filter along the way. I had done a UOA myself with Blackstone and sent Mobil 1 oil in after 12k miles in my car (With no filter change). They said at that point I Was pushing it and changing the oil filter along the way would be good.

The cabin air filter i wouldn't bother cleaning, just buy a Wix Charcoal Filter and replace every so often

I have a 2011 IS C 250. My 1st oil change is scheduled at 5000 miles not 10,000. It is free. I read above a 2011 IS 250 is 10000 miles?
Does the 2011 IS 250 convertible have a different oil schedule change than the 2011 IS 250?
Does my 2011 convertible come with synthetic oil in it?
Also, what type of oil would you recommend for my 2011 250 Convertible?
Thanks

10K or one year on the oil change.
Interesting....
I checked the service manuals online..
2011 IS250/250C
http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do...0250%20WSG.pdf
If you go to page 46 of the PDF, it says six months/5,000 miles. If you go down further, it stills recommending services every 6 months or 5,000 miles according to the schedule.
2011 IS350/350C :

Same deal, if you go to page 46 of the PDF, says every six months or 5,000 miles. And service schedule is based off of 6 month/5,000 mile service intervals again.
I'm not seeing a 10k oil change anywhere

I had a '11 Camry that had a free 5K mile service.Check this and that and tire rotation.
Free oil change was at 10K miles or one year.
In fact, the car had 25K free maintenance by Toyota and 10K and 20K changes or one year.
Never mind, deleted my post lol.
Even tho it says 6months/5,000 miles...if you look at the service schedule, (for 250/250C) oil change is only done every 10,000. Service is every 5k, but its just inspections every 5k and oil every 10k.
But if you look at the 350/350c/F manual, its every 5k oil changes
Kurtz was wrong?!?!? ......

That's why the 5K miles changes.
Yup, admitted that a few posts ago...I try to keep it at a minimum but it does happen, and always appreciate a correction when it does
Since the 250 went to 10k changes I thought the 350 would have as well. I find it kinda bizarre Lexus went synthetic on the 250 but not the 350, that just seems like a really weird decision to me.

got my 5k oil change done yesterday at 6.8k on my 350C. Talked to the Service Manager about this and he said that this is going to be confusing as all heck down the road. It easy for them to remember the difference this year, but in the coming years, they will have to ask questions to differentiate the year and model. I think Lexus screwed up on this one. They should have put full synthetic in the 350C also!
Also, for you 2011 owners, I reported the headlamp paint bubbling defect to my Service Advisor. This was the first time he had seen it. I told him it was on all the 2011's and he confirmed it with Corporate that they are aware and working on it.
