Default Newb with pics!!

Hello all - i am a Noob to the Lexus scene picked up a 2006 IS250 to serve as my daily driver and spent 5 hours this morning detailing it up.

As for mods... I don't plan anything too excessive, maybe wheels (cheap), drop and a few small cosmetic tweaks like a spoiler and lip kit

Attached are some pictures to show the progress as the car needed some love!

After a wash:

Now time for the detailing:

Here are the products i used on the paint and headlights:

Here are the products used on the chrome and metal:

Wheels before:

After:

Exhaust tips before:

After:

Headlights before - heavy hazing:

After:

As she sits currently:

And a few pics of my other whip - after buying the IS, this has been relegated to toy car status:

In track form!!!

Thanks for looking!

Looks great - can you tell me exactly what product and method you used to clear up the hazing on your headlights?

I use a porter cable buffer with 6" pads from detailed image.

I used the 4 products shown above and just applied pressure while doing the first 2 polishing steps - the purple product is a pretty aggressive polish and the second comes in after and cleans up the plastic a little bit more really shining them up - after wiping off the product they were good as new - put the glaze and carnuba on as well although i dont think it is really needed.

The two polishes posted above - SSR 2.5 from Poorboys and Mazerna Superfinish - coupled with a porter cable buffer

Sorry to keep asking, but I just want to get clear because I may do the same thing after seeing your results.

So the tool you used was something like this: http://www.tools-plus.com/porter-cab...=P-C7424XP-KIT

You put on the SSR 2.5 first, buffed it with the tool, then put on the Mazerna Superfinish and buffed that? Then after doing that, you put on the Mazerna Finishing Touch Glaze as well as something called Carnuba?
