I usually buy aux cable at monoprice.com. They sell them as cheap as $1/ piece. They also sell hdimi cable and stuff like that.

x2, I'll vouch for monoprice as well. They are awesome, they don't sell the most high quality item, but the price is so cheap that it's worth it.

Actually, our dash has a separate volume for the aux. If you leave the aux volume at, say, 30, and play a CD at 40, when you switch back to aux input, the volume will be at 30. CD and radio have the same volume though. I tested it and just aux is different.
