PS: Good choice on the camera. You'll learn to love it!! Doesn't matter if you're pro or not, photography is a great hobby! I used to do a lot of film photography when I was younger, but I never really had money for a DSLR + accessories until recently.

Back when i had my Accord before the IS, i backed into a dumpster and f'ed up the bumper and tail lights. The next day i had it fixed with new bumper, painted and new tail lights. Two days after that i backed into a fire extinguisher while doing a reverse parking in college..

A week before my clearbra appointment, I went to a Club Lexus car show but kept the lip inside my car (not installed obviously) so it wouldn't get damaged en route, and then put it on my car while it was parked. I had to move my car about 500 feet, and in doing so I scraped it on a driveway.

It's getting sprayed for a third time.

Oh man ... Was this at CVG3?

BOS 7, when I was moving my car for the exhaust demo. I also left out the part after my first spray where at the Japan Relief Gathering show my my friend from college brought her grandma while turning her wheelchair around scraped the metal footrests along the lip created a deep 3 inch scratch. I've been through a lot with this lip.

I dropped off my 2IS at the body shop to have repaired and they stuck me in a Cobalt. Has anyone ever tapped/drummed on the dashboard and center console on these cars? Or closed the glove box? FML

BUT hey, I have a set of paid-for wheels to toot around town and it gets 35 mpg in my mixed city/highway driving, plus my IS gets a brand new front bumper and in addition the GFX kit I've always wanted is getting installed.

When my cousin was using a body shop certified by BMW (in Irvine) forgot the name of the place, they put him in a 335i 2010 and he drove a 2008 335i.

I'm assuming Lexus would do the same?

Pretty sure it is just some specific body shops that does that.

Lexus certified dealership in my area uses Enterprise.

If it was a Lexus certified they'd give you a Lexus of equivalent or higher. I think it was just a local bodyshop and not a Lexus body shop hence he got a cobalt. Was it atleast the SS Cobalt?

Never heard of a Lexus in any rental fleets before - they're all American.

The shop is not on-site with the dealership; the dealership contracts the work out to a third-party repair shop that is Lexus certified. But I still got stuck with Enterprise.
